Dirty is the NEW BLACK

I scrubbed my feet on the rocks at the river, with a brush and soap while I was washing clothes, with baby wipes before I went to bed.  I am not even exaggerating that every time I turned around during my time in Bugnay I was washing my feet but I could not seem to keep them clean.  As I sat in the Bathroom for an eternity trying to get them clean again after returning to Tabuk, I was reminded of the scripture, Isaiah 52:7 that states, “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!" I stared down again at my dirty feet.  I honestly do not know if I will ever be able to get them clean again but that is okay.  The dirt was a sign of where I had been… On a mountain sharing God’s love, bringing good news and proclaiming peace.  My feet were beautiful.  I realized the dirtier that they got the more beautiful Jesus would think they are.

Are your feet beautiful?  If not go get them dirty…
